Programs
Members: Candice Blakeslee, Chair; Lawrel Banks, NCCP, Barbara McDaniel-Bowker, NCCP, Julie Stanfield, and Christine Wallace

Duties: Arrange speakers for monthly meetings. Send speaker's biographical information to President, and notify the Publicity Committee of the speaker and topic. Collect information on upcoming CLEs, have copies for distribution at meetings. Post information for inclusion on the website and e-newsletter. Establish a list of certification programs, whether local, national, or web, including costs, ratings, etc., to the extent possible. Determine what steps need to be taken for upcoming AAPA programs to be approved for CLE credit/re-certification points by NALA and/or other appropriate organization(s). As necessary, have available to members re-certification certificates for submission to receive credit from NALA and/or other appropriate organization(s). Prepare and circulate meeting notice flyers and receive RSVPs. Collect payment for meal m lunch meetings. "Man the door" at meetings to assure members are "checked in" and new attendees are included on the current membership/contact list. Regularly provide updated membership/contact list information (based on new attendees at meetings) to Membership Committee. Prepare and transmit letters of appreciation to speakers and sponsors. Plan and arrange social functions for AAPA members.

Membership
Members: Melanie Miller, NCCP, Chair; Dawn Fieler, NCCP and Joan Vogt, NCCP

Duties: Maintain and update list of all categories of members, including area of practice; · Keep track of dues paid and forward to Treasurer; draft for Board approval, prepare and maintain new member packets/brochures; distribute new member packets /brochures to first-time attendees; update and maintain email list for web site; compile and submit surveys to members periodically to determine areas of interest re: speakers, concerns of members re: areas for improvement, feedback on Association as to whether it is meeting the needs of membership, and recruit new members.

Scholarship
Members: Carolyn Timmons, NCCP, Chair; Aundry Freeman, NCCP

Duties: Administer scholarships, to include: draft scholarship application; distribute applications to area high schools, colleges and universities; review applications and select qualified candidates; interview candidates; submit recommendation for awards to Executive Board for approval; submit articles to local media regarding scholarship awards; coordinate attendance of scholarship recipients at AAPA meetings, as applicable.

Salary Survey
Members: Victoria Townley, Chair, Lawrel Banks, NCCP, and Beth Stallings, CLA, NCCP

Duties: Prepare questionnaire, receive responses, compile data, and present to Membership.

Fundraising
Members: Christine Wallace, Chair; Victoria Townley, Katie Gates, NCCP, Dorinda Watford, NCCP, and Erica Hartrick

Duties: Contact potential sponsors for annual funding, special events as needed.

Publicity
Members: Laura Champlin, CP, Chair; Jennifer Iaquinto, CLA, NCCP, Christine Wallace, and Erica Hartrick

Duties: Prepare bi-monthly e-newsletter; maintain social networking pages; publish meeting and event announcements in local newspapers; work with local Bar Association to establish rapport; Maintain contact with Bar and offer support for their programs; i.e., offer to man the registration desk at CLE programs, etc.; contact Bar Association about paralegal support available for pro bono activities and inform membership of these opportunities to participate; Chair to act as Liaison with other associations, such as NCPA, monitor activities and keep membership informed of items of interest; submit articles to Bar Association for publication in newsletter re: utilization of paralegals, matters such as exempt vs. non-exempt status, explanation of CLA, etc.; maintain list of members available to speak to various civic groups, paralegal students, etc. about the paralegal profession and the Association in general.

Duties: Maintain web site.

Nominating
Members: anonymous

Duties: Research qualifications of and solicit nominees for upcoming Officer elections, present slate of Officers to Board, upon Board approval, present slate of Officers to membership for voting.

Job Bank

Duties: Receive postings for job openings, post to web site.

Governance
Members: Terrie Blackburn, NCCP, Chair, Lawrel Banks, NCCP and Beth Stallings, CLA, NCCP

Duties: Reviews, maintains and prepares any proposed changes to Bylaws, Articles of Incorporation, Annual Reports and any other federal or state reporting requirements.  Assure on a continuing basis that any recommended or proposed course(s) of action agree with Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation as currently in existence.
