Responsibilities include drafting, serving and organizing pleadings and correspondence, online case searches, trial preparation and support, general typing and filing. Requirements: 3-5 years litigation experience, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Westlaw/Lexis-Nexis, Internet, reliable, organized, detail-oriented, self-starter, ability to work for multiple attorneys. Litigation Docket Paralegal
Ward and Smith, P.A. is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its Asheville office. Applicants should be multi-task oriented, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment. The responsibilities include: read/distribute docket reports, implement and maintain docket procedures, print and maintain Court calendars, review open files and input initial dockets, check all incoming mail/faxes, assist the attorneys in the acceptance, organization, investigation and resolution of client litigation matters, drafting correspondence and legal documents, conferring with all parties involved, keeping schedules, maintaining files, monitoring progress, and following up to ensure all required actions are completed. Applicants must have a minimum of three years paralegal experience. A college degree in Paralegal Technology or Business is preferred.
