New Processing Procedures in Henderson County Register of Deeds Office

Nedra Moles, Register of Deeds for Henderson County sent out an announcement on March 31 about changes taking place in her office's processing procedures.

According to the announcement, as of May 31, the clerks will no longer be responsible for "darkening embossed Notary Public seals" or embossed corporate seals on documents presented for recording.  What this means for you is that prior to submitting a document for recording, you should check to ensure that all embossed notary or corporate seals have been darkened so that they are readily visible to the clerk.

Further, as of March 31, recording information for the previous day's documents will be located in the current indexes for Deeds and Deeds of Trust which is located on the front counter of the office.  The book and page recording information will be contained in the indexes.
